One of the first centers in California to receive full certification of its nuclear medicine laboratory and of its echocardiography program.
OCHI adds second nuclear scanner to Irvine, CA office
To improve nuclear cardiology testing services, we have added a second GE nuclear camera to serve our south Orange County patients. The same GE nuclear camera is available in our Orange office. These are the newest, state of the art nuclear camera for highest accuracy in diagnosing decreased blood flow to the heart.
OC Vital Imaging expands cardiac CT imaging by now adding 64Slice CT/PET scanner
OC Vital Imaging is the cardiac CT imaging center for The Orange County Heart Institute. RADNET radiology group have added a 64 Slice CT/PET scanner to compliment the EBCT scanner. This is the only imaging center in the county at this time with both types of CT scanners under one roof. We have the best CT scan to meet your particular health needs. <<More info
Watchman Trial
Dr. Kelly Tucker, principle investigator for Watchman Device to prevent strokes from atrial fibrillation, name one of the top three investigators in the world. <<More info
Important clinical trials are about to begin at the Orange County Heart Institute under the direction of Dr. Tucker:
• New medications to restore blood flow in patients with acute myocardial infarction or heart attack.
• New alternatives to warfarin therapy for thinning the blood and preventing stroke in atrial fibrillation. For more information on these exciting studies, please contact Dr. Tucker.
• We are also investigating new technologies for the ablation of atrial fibrillation and new ablation tools. We anticipate having robotic surgical equipment for the catheter-based ablation of atrial fibrillation in the near future, and we are working with the local hospital systems to provide this new and exciting technology.
